MTZ-Award 2026 - Call for applications open!

The MTZ® Award for Systems Medicine is the national prize for young scientists for outstanding dissertations in the field of systems-oriented health research.
The MTZ Foundation awards this prize every two years in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and Project Management Jülich (PtJ). The award ceremony will take place during the 10th Conference on Systems Biology of Mammalian Cells (SBMC) under the motto “From Data and Models to E-Health” from May 4 to 6, 2026, in Mannheim (Baroque Palace Mannheim).
The application deadline for the MTZ® Award for Systems Medicine 2026 is January 31, 2026. The total prize money is €15,000. The prize money is divisible and will be awarded to the three best doctoral theses.
