9th Conference on Systems Biology of Mammalian Cells – Translating Systems Medicine into the Clinics

Exciting lectures and presentations The program was varied and informative. The members of the Scientific Advisory Board, Prof. Dr. Rebecca Wells, Prof. Dr. Peter ten Dijke and Prof. Dr. Dagmar Kulms, gave inspiring talks and provided valuable feedback. The researchers themselves presented their latest results and gave insights into future projects and collaborations.

Insights into the history of computer technology

On the evening of the first day, the participants went on a joint excursion to the Konrad Zuse Museum. Konrad Zuse, one of the pioneers of computer technology, left a lasting impression on the city. The participants were able to experience this impressively, as many of his early computer models are exhibited here. Beyond computers, Zuse was a passionate artist and was ahead of his time in his thinking in many areas.

Working together on solutions

Thematic discussion rounds offered researchers the opportunity to discuss current challenges and look for solutions together. A particular focus was placed on possible synergies between the consortia and collaboration across the funding period.

Workshop on medical device regulation

To strengthen the bridge between science and clinical practice, Prof. Dr. Steven Gilbert's team organized a workshop on medical device regulation. The participants were given both theoretical and practical insights into the complex regulatory requirements.

Conclusion

The scientists' retreat in Hünfeld was a complete success. The event provided a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and the promotion of new ideas. The combination of scientific presentations, historical excursions and practical workshops contributed to an inspiring atmosphere.
